An Iranian court filed an indictment against 14 citizens who were allegedly involved in the assassination of Iran’s nuclear program chief, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, Maariv reported, citing media reports in Iran on Sunday.
Fakhrizadeh was killed outside of Tehran in November 2020. Iran has denied in the past that Fakhrizadeh was involved in any efforts in developing nuclear weapons.
The Tehran Attorney-General, Ali Salahi, stated that those involved "created a conspiracy with the aim of disrupting security in the country."
He also said that "the defendants participated in intelligence cooperation and espionage for the benefit of the Zionist regime."

What were the last previous developments on his assassination?
A Jewish Chronicle report from February 2021 stated that Fakhrizadeh was assassinated with a "one-ton remote-controlled gun" that was smuggled into the country by the Mossad.
The report stated that Mossad operatives reportedly took eight months to smuggle the weapon.
