Three people were wounded after shots were fired at an Israeli vehicle, apparently by a lone gunman, near Beit Lid at the Ramin intersection in the northern West Bank on Tuesday morning.The victims, a 32-year-old man and two teenage boys, aged 15 and 16, were lightly wounded by shattered glass and received immediate medical treatment before their transfer to Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba.
Karin Moskovitz, commander of the MDA Samaria station, told Israeli media: “They said that several shots were fired at them, 8-9 shots, they did not see the shooter who was apparently alone."
West Bank tension rising overnight
IDF soldiers wounded three other Israeli civilians in a vehicle that aroused suspicion at a checkpoint in the settlement of Beit El near Ramallah on Monday night.
The three were said to be 17, 18, and 24. The 18-year-old, in moderate condition, was shot in the shoulder, while the other two were lightly injured by shrapnel. All three were evacuated for treatment.In addition, the military said troops and Border Police officers operated overnight against money-changing companies suspected of transferring funds to terror organizations. The forces confiscated their money and interrogated the money changers.The IDF also stated that overnight it neutralized an assailant in El-Bireh, next to Ramallah, who had stabbed and lightly wounded a soldier.
