One killed, nine wounded in terror attack at Beersheba Central Bus Station

Magen David Adom said its paramedics were providing medical treatment to three individuals who had been wounded at the scene.

One was killed and at least nine wounded in a terror attack after shots were heard at the Beersheba Central Bus Station in southern Israel on Sunday, the police said, qualifying the incident as a terror attack. 

Magen David Adom (MDA) said its paramedics were providing medical treatment at the scene to nine individuals who had been wounded with various degrees of injuries, with reports of more.

The young woman who was critically injured succumbed to her wounds at the hospital.

In addition, MDA said it was transferring to the Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba two people in serious condition, four people in moderate condition, and two individuals who had been lightly wounded.

According to Israeli media reports, the terrorist was believed to be Ahmad Said Suliman al-Ukabi, a 29-year-old Israeli citizen of Bedouin background.

"We provided initial treatment at the scene to a young woman who was seriously injured and was later transported to the hospital," United Hatzalah updated. "We treated another woman who was in critical condition and four people who were moderately and lightly to moderately injured. In addition, we assisted at the scene several people who suffered from emotional shock due to the nature of the incident."

The attacker was eliminated, according to MDA. 

The police added that large forces were at the scene.
