IDF Chief of Staff, Lt.-Gen. Herzi Halevi vowed on Monday during a situational assessment in Jabalya in the northern Gaza Strip that the Israeli military would continue its operations until Hamas understood that it needed to free all the hostages being held in Gaza.

Along with Southern Command Commander Maj.-Gen. Yaron Finkelman and Commanding Officer of the 162nd Division Brig.-Gen. Itzik Cohen, Halevi announced his intent to push Hamas to a point that is “unbearable.”

“We will bring them to the point where they understand that they must return all the hostages,” he said.

“Otherwise, the highly professional work you are doing will continue and continue - taking more prisoners and killing more operatives.”

“And I know you are doing everything possible to minimize casualties on our side," Halevi added.

Jabalya raids

Earlier on Monday, the IDF released footage of a Hamas terrorist who had been arrested during an operation in the Kamal Adwan Hospital in Jabalya by the 401st Brigade and Unit 504 and transferred to Israel for questioning.

The terrorist, Anas Muhammad Faiz al-Sharif, explained that hospital grounds were used to transport equipment and weapons for launching attacks against Israeli forces.
