Rocket sirens sounded in Jerusalem and the surrounding area, along with in the Shfela region, starting at 7:28 p.m. on Thursday following a missile launched from Yemen

This missile was intercepted by the Israel Air Force (IAF) prior to crossing into Israeli territory, the military said.

Israel’s emergency response service, Magen David Adom (MDA), said no injuries were reported apart from several individuals suffering from anxiety.

The missile launch came in parallel to reports of a US strike on Houthi targets on Yemen’s port city of Hodeidah.

Second launch in 24 hours

This is the second time in 24 hours that the Iran-backed terror group in Yemen fired a missile at the Jewish State. In the early hours of Thursday, the Houthis launched a ballistic missile, triggering sirens across central Israel and the Jerusalem area.

The missile was intercepted before it crossed into Israeli territory.

Sirens also sounded across central Israel on Thursday following rocket fire from the Gaza Strip. The military said the IAF had intercepted one rocket while two others impacted in open areas.

This is a developing story.
