US President Donald Trump said he spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday, adding that Netanyahu may visit the US next week.

Netanyahu is currently visiting Hungary, defying the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant against him.

During the phone call, Netanyahu and Trump spoke together with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban about Hungary's decision to withdraw from the ICC and discussed "the next steps that can be taken on this issue."

Netanyahu's visit to Hungary

Hungary leaving the ICC is a "bold and principled" decision, Netanyahu said on Thursday during a visit to Budapest.

Hungary decided to quit the ICC because it has become political, as its decisions on issuing an ICC arrest warrant against Netanyahu showed, Orban said earlier.
