An Israel Police officer from the Special Patrol Unit was lightly wounded after a car rammed into him during operations carried out in Dhahiriya in the West Bank, the police said on Monday.
While operating in the area, Israeli forces identified a car that they suspected was stolen. They signaled to the driver to stop, but the driver did not halt the vehicle and rammed it into a police officer instead.
Hunt for vehicle
A hunt ensued for the vehicle, and roadblocks were erected in the area.
Earlier on Monday, the military said it was reviewing the details of a ramming incident that had occurred in the area.
