Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem landed in Israel on Sunday following the murder of Israeli embassy employees in Washington, per the instructions of US President Donald Trump.

Noem visited the Western Wall, and is expected to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar.

Noem was welcomed by Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, the Rabbi of the Western Wall and Holy Places, and the two read a chapter of Psalms and a special prayer in memory of the murdered diplomats.

At the end of the visit, she left a note inthe stones of the Western Wall and wrote in the visitors' book: "Israel is the chosen people, and the United States stands by you."

Noem responded to the attack, writing on X/Twitter on Thursday, "Two Israeli Embassy staff were senselessly killed tonight near the Jewish Museum in Washington DC. We are actively investigating and working to get more information to share. Please pray for the families of the victims. "

The two embassy staffers were killed in an antisemitic shooting

The two Israeli embassy staff members were shot and killed in front of the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington on Wednesday night.

Israel’s Foreign Ministry identified the victims as Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim. Ambassador Yechiel Leiter added that Lischinsky and Milgrim were in a relationship.

Trump posted on Truth Social, stating that "These horrible DC killings, based obviously on antisemitism, must end, NOW! Hatred and Radicalism have no place in the USA."

"Condolences to the families of the victims. So sad that such things as this can happen!  God Bless You ALL!" he added.
