Revolution in WhatsApp Web: The new update that will solve the most annoying problem

WhatsApp, the messaging app owned by Meta, is in advanced development stages of a new feature expected to change the way content is managed and accessed within the system. This concerns a new media center for the browser version (WhatsApp Web) that will centralize all photos, videos, animated GIF files, documents, and links sent in all chats into one organized place.
The new feature is designed to significantly simplify the browsing experience of content and streamline storage management. The main goal is to help users quickly locate and access media shared in different conversations without the cumbersome need to open each chat separately and search for the desired content inside.
Access to the new media center will be enabled via a dedicated entry point located in the sidebar of WhatsApp’s browser version. This convenient location will allow users to easily and quickly find and open the center anytime they want, according to reports from WABetaInfo, a site specializing in revealing new app updates and features.
After entering the media center, users will be able to comfortably browse through all photos, videos, and animated GIFs shared during their various conversations. The feature is not limited to visual media files only — the center will also display all documents and links exchanged in chats over time.
For documents and links, the media center will show additional important information directly in the main list. Details such as the contact name who shared the document or link and the exact date of sending will be clearly displayed, helping users quickly identify the context of each item.
Another feature integrated into the center is a multi-select button for media items. With this button, users will be able to mark multiple items simultaneously and perform group actions such as deleting, downloading, or resending the selected items, saving a lot of time and simplifying management processes.
The main benefit of the media center will be especially evident in situations where a user remembers sending or receiving a photo, video, or other content but does not recall exactly which chat the content was shared in. Instead of manually searching through all conversations, the user can directly access the media center and locate the desired item quickly and easily.
The new feature is currently in advanced development stages at WhatsApp. According to estimates, it is expected to be released to browser version users in a future update, although no official launch date has been announced yet. This development reflects WhatsApp’s ongoing efforts to improve user experience and adapt the platform to users’ evolving needs in the digital age.
