Hostage survivors to honor Trump envoy Steve Witkoff at United Hatzalah gala
Noa Argamani, Eli Sharabi to Present “Life Award” to Trump Envoy Steve Witkoff at United Hatzalah NYC Gala
United Hatzalah will hold its annual gala in New York this Wednesday, June 11, 2025, to celebrate lifesaving efforts and honor key supporters of Israel and the organization.
The evening’s guest of honor is Steve Witkoff, special envoy of former U.S. President Donald Trump to the Middle East. Witkoff will be presented with the “Life Award” by former hostages Noa Argamani and Eli Sharabi, alongside Dr. Miriam Adelson. Witkoff is expected to speak about his deep commitment to the State of Israel and key issues facing U.S.-Israel relations.
Another emotional highlight of the event will be the presentation of the “Greenberg Traurig Courage Award” to Dr. Tamar Schlesinger, a volunteer with United Hatzalah’s Psychological Resilience Unit. On the morning of October 7, Dr. Schlesinger maintained contact with two young children, Michael and Amalia, who had hidden in a closet after witnessing the murder of their parents and the kidnapping of their sister, Abigail Idan.
For 12 intense hours, she offered emotional support until the IDF safely rescued them. The gala will showcase inspiring stories of survival and rescue, garnering widespread support for United Hatzalah’s mission to save lives throughout Israel.
