"Following the latest missile barrage towards the Gush Dan area and reports of a weaponry item falling in the Tel Aviv area – several injured individuals with varying degrees of injury have been evacuated from the scene," a police statement said on Saturday morning.

There were two additional reports of impacted buildings in Ramat Gan.

The police confirmed that one woman died at the scene and that several people were evacuated.

The Home Front Command's chief emphasized the importance of following the issued guidelines.

"Time and again, we see that following the Home Front Command’s guidelines saves lives," said Col. M, the Home Front Command's chief, in a video statement. "The building you see behind me was almost completely destroyed, but thanks to civilians following the guidelines, there are relatively few injuries, all minor, considering the massive destruction."

Col. M noted that the event was not over yet and could continue for "quite some time."
