IDF Arabic spokesperson issues first-of-a-kind warning to Iranian residents
He warned that proximity to the buildings endangered their lives.
IDF Arabic spokesperson Col. Avichay Adraee warned all residents of Iran on Sunday to move away from areas housing Tehran's weapons production facilities and report to their local authorities.
He warned that proximity to the buildings endangered their lives.
The warning is the first of its kind to be delivered to Iran, as Adraee has frequently warned civilians to evacuate from areas about to be targeted by Israeli strikes in Lebanon and Gaza.
The warning comes amid a significant escalation between Iran and Israel, as a Tehran attack on a civilian building overnight took the lives of seven people and wounded scores of others. Tehran's attacks the previous night also killed three civilians.
Operation Rising Lion
Israel launched Operation Rising Lion on Thursday night, striking a number of military and nuclear targets within Iran. The latest escalation follows reports of Tehran failing to abide by international restrictions on Uranium enrichment and a growing threat against the Jewish state.
Throughout the conflict, Tehran has provided terrorist and militia groups in the region with the supplies and training to attack Israel, including the Houthis in Yemen, Hezbollah in Syria and Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza.
This is a developing story.
