Israeli ministers were informed on Sunday that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei personally ordered attacks against Israeli civilian population centers, sources informed The Jerusalem Post on Sunday.

Israel conveyed a message in the last 24 hours to Iran that it would strike strategic infrastructure across the country if the Islamic Republic targets civilian population centers in Israel, sources with knowledge told the Post on Saturday.

Senior Israeli officials held discussions with top Trump administration officials, expressing interest in US participation in a strike on nuclear facilities.

"We hope this will ultimately come to pass," an Israeli source told the Post.

Iran's supreme leader 'not off limits'

An Israeli official also told the Wall Street Journal on Saturday that Khamenei is "not off-limits" in Israel's ongoing efforts to dismantle Iran's nuclear program.

Meanwhile, Israel has already struck the Natanz and Isfahan nuclear facilities and oil fields, as well as killing senior IRGC and Iranian military commanders.

This is a developing story.
