The "Flying Carpet" tourism agency announced that Bulgarian airline Gullivair will begin operating two new seasonal routes from Israel to Paphos, Cyprus, and Varna, Bulgaria. The Paphos route will operate twice weekly on Sundays and Thursdays starting June 23, 2024. The Varna route will operate three times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays starting June 24, 2024. Both routes will continue until October.

The round-trip fare for a direct flight to Paphos starts at $299 per person and to Varna starts at $349 per person. The fares include luggage allowances of 20 kg for checked baggage and 7 kg for a carry-on per passenger.

Oren Cohen Maguri, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Flying Carpet, stated: "We are very proud to introduce another foreign airline to Israel. This is another step towards offering affordable prices to more destinations from Flying Carpet. We recognize a high demand for vacations to nearby, comfortable, and inexpensive destinations, with Cyprus at the top of the preferred list. We see that Israelis are very interested in direct flights to Paphos, which offers great beaches, excellent hotels, a lively atmosphere, and pleasant weather. Additionally, we have decided to resume flights to one of the Israelis' favorite resort towns – Varna, on the Black Sea coast."
