Israeli flags were set ablaze during a demonstration for a "free Palestine" outside the synagogue in Malmö Sweden, as reported by Swedish media. Aaron Verständig, Chairman of the Jewish Central Council of Sweden, captured the flag burning on video and shared it on the X social media platform.
Verständig condemned the incident, stating, "Such acts of hatred towards the Jewish community in Malmö by extremists are utterly reprehensible." He urged leaders and public figures to denounce this act and to stand together against religious desecration, highlighting his consistent stance against similar acts, including the burning of the Quran outside Swedish mosques.
