Defense Minister Yoav Gallant addressed the nation on Tuesday evening, stating that the IDF controls the northern Gaza Strip and assuring the public that their safety was the government's top priority.
Gallant stated that the IDF intends to entirely root out Hamas.
He also said that the government takes the safety of the citizens in Israel's North just as seriously as it takes that of those in Israel's South.
