IDF eliminates Hezbollah commander responsible for rocket and missile unit

Qassem Saqlawi, a Hezbollah commander responsible for coordinating rocket and missile fire at Israel from Lebanon's coast, was eliminated by Israeli forces.

An Israel Air Force aircraft struck and eliminated the terrorist Qassem Saqlawi, the Commander of the Rocket and Missile Array in Hezbollah's Coastal Sector, the IDF announced on Tuesday. 

Saqlawi planned and executed numerous attacks against Israel, including rocket and anti-tank missile attacks towards Israeli territory from the coastal sector in Lebanon, the IDF noted. 

This statement followed Hezbollah's confirmation on Tuesday morning that six of its terrorists were eliminated by the IDF in the last 24 hours, according to Israeli media reports.

More tensions along the northern border

Additionally, on Monday night, numerous rockets were fired towards the western Galilee that fell in open areas.

In response, IAF fighter jets attacked a Hezbollah rocket launcher in the area of Ramyeh in southern Lebanon.
