An IDF tank driver from the 79th Battalion in the ‘Machatz’ Brigade, was killed in combat in northern Gaza, the IDF announced Thursday.
The soldier had not been named by press time but his family was been notified.Additionally, an officer in the Yahalom Unit and a reservist in the ‘Machatz’ Brigade were severely wounded in the incident.
The soldiers were evacuated to a hospital to receive medical treatment, and their families have been notified.
IDF death toll since October 7 massacre
According to the IDF’s tally, this death raises the total of soldiers killed since October 7 of last year to 849.
Some 408 of this number were killed since the start of the IDF’s ground offensive in the Gaza Strip on October 27 of that year.
