Feldman fought in the Battle of Sultan Yacoub between Israel and Syria in June 1982, in which six soldiers were declared missing in action. His remains were recovered from Syria after 43 years.
Feldman was initially declared as one of three soldiers declared missing in action in 1984.
“He was highly skilled and very knowledgeable about fighting,” T said. “On the other hand, he was very human and treated us as equals.”
The two soldiers fell in separate incidents hours apart in Rafah on Thursday afternoon.
