IDF closes entrance to Beita in West Bank after reservist wounded by IED

An IDF reserve soldier was seriously wounded on Wednesday after an IED exploded in the West Bank.

The IDF closed off the entrance to the town of Beita in the area of Nablus on Thursday morning after troops were deployed to the area, Israeli media reported.

An IDF reserve soldier from Battalion 9221 of the Ephraim Brigade was seriously wounded on Wednesday after an IED exploded in the West Bank, the military said.

The soldier was taken to the hospital for medical treatment, and his family has been notified.

IDF soldiers have cordoned off the area and are working in the area to locate the terrorists.

Local council head calls for lockdown of all Palestinian villages in West Bank

Yossi Dagan, the head of the Yesha council in the West Bank, begged the defense minister and senior IDF command for an immediate preventative lockdown of all Palestinian villages in the West Bank in direct response to Hamas and other terrorist groups attempting to incite arson attacks on Israeli communities within the West Bank through online posts. 

A man was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly attempting to ignite an open field in southern Jerusalem.
