Netanyahu defends Gaza aid: 'Necessary to prevent starvation,' retain international support

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that aid to the Gaza Strip is necessary to prevent starvation, following the security cabinet's approval of aid on Sunday evening. 

Netanyahu noted that the new aid distribution points are supervised by the IDF to prevent Hamas's control over supplies, saying that ensuring Gaza aid is necessary for continued international support for Israel.
