A large fire in Jordanian territory north of the Dead Sea is heading westward towards Israel, Israeli media reported on Thursday morning.

There are mines and fuel pipes in the fire's vicinity which are liable to explode, the reports said.

Large forces from the Fire and Rescue Service are fighting the flames along with firefighting planes, in cooperation with their Jordanian counterparts.
