Livni specified that the Zionist Union will be able to speak to the Arab world more easily than Netanyahu can.The two also said they believe they will be able to improve Israel's relationship with the US, saying that Herzog can relate to US President Barack Obama because he understands how to build trust in a relationship, unlike Netanyahu. They added that everyone agrees that a nuclear Iran is an existential threat, but differ on how best to thwart its nuclear program.Herzog said, "I am not promising you a rose garden, but I promise we will do everything we can by building trust." He stressed that he doesn't lead a left-wing party, rather a centrist party.See more onisrael livniRECOMMENDED STORIESIDF strikes Tehran oil depot, Iranian missiles kill three, wound 11 in the NorthJUNE 14, 2025IDF says aircraft operating in heart of Tehran, denies claim Iran shot down fighter jetJUNE 14, 2025Tehran under fire: IDF continues strikes in Iran, focusing on the capital – what was hit?JUNE 14, 2025The road to Tehran has been paved: IDF secures air route for stronger strikes on IranJUNE 14, 2025
