Report: IDF strikes Hezbollah affiliated media building in Beirut

The IDF reportedly attacked a building belonging to Hezbollah-affiliated media in the southern area of Beirut, near the former Iranian embassy, Israeli media reported on Wednesday night, citing Lebanese media sources.

Sirens sounded across central Israel due to the detection of four rockets fired from Lebanon into Israel, according to the IDF on Wednesday.

The IDF is currently reviewing the event.

The IDF announced on Wednesday that it had attacked Hezbollah targets in the southern Lebanese city of Tyre.

The IDF said the targets belonged to the command and control complexes and were responsible for commanding Hezbollah units of its "Southern Front."

The IDF accused Hezbollah of taking over civilian spaces to carry out terror attacks, directly endangering Lebanese civilians in the process.

The IDF emphasized that it took as many precautions as possible to prevent harm to civilians.

The IDF announced on Wednesday that six journalists actively working for Al Jazeera were members of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ).

The IDF says that due to intelligence recovered from the Gaza Strip during military operations, they can reveal that Anas Al-Sharif, Ala' Salama, Hossam Shbat, Ashraf Al-Sarraj, Ismail Abu Amr and Talal Al-Aruki are all affiliated with the military wings of either Hamas or PIJ.

The United States is exploring a “new framework” for a deal to secure the freedom of the remaining 101 hostages, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken told reporters on Wednesday before departing Israel for Saudi Arabia.

He hinted at the possibility that the release of the captives would be part of a regional deal. 

“We talked about the plan that we’ve had on the table and the work that we’re doing on that plan, looking at new frameworks of foreign relations as a possibility,” Blinken said.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken hinted that he would, in fact, restrict military aid to Israel over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza as he spoke with reporters in Israel prior to his departure for Saudi Arabia.

“I will follow the law,” he said when pressed if he would uphold Memorandum National Security Memorandum 20, which makes military assistance contingent on compliance with international law and international humanitarian law.

A Hamas official arrived in Moscow on a planned visit and intends to hold a series of meetings with Russian officials, Russian state-run news agency RIA Novosti reported on Wednesday, citing a diplomatic source.

RIA Novosti added that the official is the deputy chief of Hamas's political bureau. 

Israel conducted an airstrike on the Lebanese port city of Tyre on Wednesday, witnesses in the area told Reuters.

The reports of the strikes came approximately three hours after the IDF called on residents of the Lebanese city to evacuate the area.

Arab Media Spokesperson Avichay Adraee posted the announcement on X/Twitter, emphasizing that the residents were required to move out of the locations marked in red in the graphic shared.

Twenty-five projectile launches were identified as crossing over from Lebanon into Israel following the Wednesday rocket barrage that targeted northern Israel, the IDF announced shortly after the incident.

During the barrage, sirens were heard in Israel's Upper Galilee, Central Galilee, and Haifa Bay. According to Israel's military, most of the projectiles were intercepted, while others struck in identified areas. 

A building in the Naaman industrial area could be seen hit by the strike and substantially damaged in footage released by N12.

The IAF intercepted a total of four drones on Wednesday morning following sirens that sounded in northern Israel, the IDF said.

Additionally, 25 projectile launches were identified as crossing over from Lebanon into Israel after sirens were heard in the Upper Galilee, Central Gallee, and Haifa Bay, the IDF added.

According to Israel's military, most of the projectiles were intercepted, while others struck in identified areas. 

Subsequently, MDA said that medical teams were en route to the areas where rocket strikes were identified. There have been no reports of any wounded by the barrage.
