Blood feud: Gaza clan executes Hamas policeman, Gazan reports say

Hamas’s Interior Ministry admitted that the policeman had shot and wounded a Gazan resident while attempting to break up a clash between families.

A member of Hamas’s policing forces was executed earlier today in Deir Al-Balah, central Gaza Strip, after a local clan accused him of murdering one of their kin, reports from Gaza say.

Social media was flooded with viral videos depicting the execution of a person claimed to be Ibrahim Shaldan, a member of Hamas’s police force, from a zero range.

Hamas is emerging as a growing threat abroad, especially when compared to the past, a source from the Israeli National Security Council (NSC) told The Jerusalem Post.

These remarks come after the NSC issued travel warnings for Israelis abroad on Tuesday, ahead of the spring holidays and summer vacations.

The report revealed that Hamas is intensifying its efforts to carry out attacks abroad, there has been an increase in anti-Semitic incidents globally, and Iran remains a central sponsor of terrorism. Additionally, the NSC emphasized that the travel warning for Sinai is still at the highest level.

Egypt's Sisi, Trump discuss regional mediation efforts in phone call

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and US President Donald Trump discussed mediation efforts to restore regional calm which would have a positive impact on Red Sea navigation and end economic losses for all parties, the Egyptian presidency said on Tuesday.

The Iran-aligned Houthis have carried out more than 100 attacks on shipping since Israel's war with Hamas began in late 2023, saying they were acting in solidarity with Gaza's Palestinians. The attacks have disrupted global commerce and set the US military off on a costly campaign to intercept missiles.
