Lebanon is a Middle Eastern nation located along the Mediterranean Sea. It directly borders Israel to the South and Syria to the North and East.
The nation has been in several conflicts with Israel over the past several decades and tensions along the border happen regularly, particularly with the large Lebanon-based terrorist organization Hezbollah, which wields significant political power in the country.
The IDF hopes that more civilians will follow this lead as new tent cities are set up for civilians to evacuate Rafah to Khan Yunis, al-Muwasi, and central Gaza.
The group has a large arsenal of rockets, missiles, and drones. However, Hezbollah is also “too big to fail” in the Iranian proxy context.
The IDF said that it had killed six Hezbollah brigade-level commanders and over 30 battalion-level commanders.
