US President Donald Trump told Prime Minister Benjamin to end the war in Gaza and to remove the option of striking Iran, N12 reported on Tuesday.

N12 attributed these quotes to the conversation that took place between Trump and Netanyahu on Monday.

Trump told Netanyahu, "I want you to end the war," reportedly making it clear to Netanyahu that "it's not just the Witkoff deal that could be reached. Both. Finish it. The war is exhausting itself."

Trump reportedly said, "ending the war will also help in negotiations with Iran and also the Saudis."

Regarding Iran, Trump said that he hadn't given up on negotiations, "The Iranians will give a bad response, but not something that closes the door," N12 noted.

Trump confirms Monday phone call with Netanyahu takes place

Trump on Monday confirmed that he spoke to Netanyahu regarding Iran, adding that the call went well and that he is "trying to avoid death and destruction."

He also said that Tehran was a tough negotiator as talks continued for a nuclear deal. "We're doing a lot of work on Iran right now," Trump said at an economic event at the White House. "It's tough. ... They're great negotiators."

"They're just asking for things that you can't do. They don't want to give up what they have to give up," he added. "They seek enrichment. We can't have enrichment. We want just the opposite. And so far, they're not there."
