Israeli superstar Gal Gadot expressed her excitement on Twitter Tuesday, announcing that she will be a guest voice on the iconic animated sitcom The Simpsons.
"I grew up watching The Simpsons and now I get to voice myself in an episode! Stay tuned..." she exclaimed.

Gadot joins a long and prestigious list of celebrity cameos on the long-running show. Since the show went on the air in 1989, it has featured the likes Tom Hanks, Oprah, Ringo Starr, Elizabth Taylor  and Lady Gaga.

Her role on The Simpsons is just the latest in Gadot’s rise to Hollywood fame.
The Israeli actress became part of cinematic history for starring as the title character in the 2017 summer blockbuster Wonder Woman, which grossed over $400 million in the US box office.
She then co-starred in the follow up film The Justice League, bumping Gadot to become the highest-grossing actress of 2017.
Hollywood heavyweights Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel were the only two actors to have had higher grossing films that year.

But her accomplishments extend far beyond the silver screen.
Gadot helped remove the DC Comic book movie franchise of accused sexual harasser and movie producer Brett Ratner from working on future Wonder Woman related projects. A credit that she says she shares with all people who won’t tolerate this behavior.
At the 2018 Critics Choice Awards, Gadot was prized the #SeeHer Award because she used her status in the film industry to “help improve fairness for all genders.” An award that she dedicated to all the “men and women standing up for what is right” earning her cheers and a standing ovation.
