Legendary British actor and comedian John Cleese has postponed his string of nearly sold-out performances of An Evening with John Cleese, scheduled for this month.

The Monty Python alumnus and star of films like A Fish Called Wanda didn’t give a reason for the change. However, Alon York, the show’s producer, said in a statement: “We received a message from John Cleese’s management regarding the postponement of the performances due to changes in his schedule.”

York added that all tickets will be automatically transferred to the new dates: November 26 in Jerusalem at the Jerusalem Theatre, November 27 in Tel Aviv at the Smolarz Auditorium, and November 30 and December 1 at Tel Aviv’s Beit Hahayal.

Israel's John Cleese performances

The shows will be hosted by local actor and comedian Tzvika Hadar. The performance includes Cleese recounting stories from his career, and his irreverent take on the state of the world, including current events in Israel.
