The new wine coolers come in various sizes and dimensions and can fit anywhere in the home—from the kitchen to the living room and guest rooms. With the classic look of a black glass door, and innovations like internal LED lighting to highlight the bottles, the wine cooler is becoming a true piece of furniture, integrating into home design.
According to Clinton Group, an importer of electrical brands, there has been a sharp increase of about 200% in the purchase of wine coolers in Israel. "With these changes, wine consumption has also increased in recent years, leading to the development of dedicated cooling devices. The new coolers allow convenient integration into any kitchen, and their prominence, as well as their placement next to the oven, has led to the launch of a new cooler that combines a regular refrigerator with a wine cooler. This device addresses the consumers' need to use a wine cooler while saving kitchen space, viewing wine as both a functional and a design item," explains Assi Arbiv, CEO of Clinton Trade Group.
Some wine coolers offer an innovative user experience, allowing the door to open using a proximity sensor. This action is performed without pulling the door or using a handle—just a simple knock for maximum convenience. The coolers are equipped with an electronic temperature control system, a digital display, and wooden shelves designed to optimally preserve the wine. The black glass door with UV protection ensures the wine's quality, and the coolers feature LED lighting to highlight the bottles, a dynamic cooling system, an acoustic safety alarm, and a water tank to maintain humidity levels.
Additionally, the coolers offer optimal storage conditions with three independently adjustable zones tailored for different types of wine: red, white, and sparkling. They also include an anti-vibration system and a humidity control system that maintains humidity levels between 55%-75% to preserve cork quality. Hygienically, the coolers come with an active air filter to ensure clean internal air.
Another innovation in some coolers is the knock-to-open feature. Using sensors, the user only needs to knock on the refrigerator door for it to open automatically.
Aesthetically, the coolers feature an elegant design that easily integrates into any kitchen or large space. The double glass door contributes to a modern, clean look. Adjustable wooden shelves add a warm, natural touch, enhancing the visual experience and allowing flexibility in displaying bottles. Some models also offer kitchen design flexibility, fitting into a kitchen niche next to the oven or microwave, under the countertop, or as free-standing units. One of the latest developments in the field even allows the integration of the wine cooler directly into a regular refrigerator.
