Netflix announced today (Wednesday) that it will open two interactive entertainment complexes called "Netflix House" in Dallas, Texas, and King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. These complexes, expected to open in 2025, mark the streaming giant's first venture into physical retail.
Netflix House represents the streaming giant's first attempt to create a physical retail business. The complexes in Dallas and Pennsylvania will offer a variety of entertainment options, including restaurants, live events, interactive sets, and experiences based on some of Netflix's most popular shows and movies.
"Netflix House will take a step further to create an unforgettable complex where you can explore your favorite Netflix stories and characters beyond the screen, all year round. Netflix House represents the next generation of our unique offering. The complexes will bring our favorite stories to life in new, ever-changing, and unexpected ways," stated the company's official blog.
The experiential entertainment complex will allow fans of series like "Bridgerton," "Money Heist," "Stranger Things," and "Squid Game" to interact with some of their most iconic scenes and sets. The announcement promises that "guests will be able to do things like waltz with a partner to an orchestral cover of a Taylor Swift song on a replica of the 'Bridgerton' set." Even more surprising: a dedicated area will allow you to compete in the glass bridge challenge from "Squid Game" (without the bloody ending).
As expected, visitors will also be able to browse a souvenir shop featuring special merchandise like a Hellfire Club T-shirt, a "Queen's Gambit" board game, or a "I Survived the Glass Bridge Game" mug from "Squid Game." Don’t forget to check out the reality basket for a "Too Hot to Handle" oven mitt.
