The Beit Hashita company announces that canned olives without pits may contain pitted olives due to a technical fault, and urges the public not to consume them. Pitted olives are widely consumed by parents of young children due to the risk of choking, so this is an important warning for those who purchased the product with the intention of giving it to their children. The Beit Hashita stated that "following consumer complaints about the product 'Beit Hashita 275 gram beaded olive cocktail' it was found that there is a fear of olive pits being found as a result of a production fault."

The product details are "haroozit olive cocktail 275 gr. Beit Hashita", batch: 241902RA70, best to use before:

The company further stated that "Consumers in possession of boxes from the aforementioned batch are asked not to consume and to contact the consumer service hotline at 1-700-50-40-65 for information and a credit voucher. "Beit Hashita Industries Ltd. apologizes to its customers and is working to collect the product from the marketing channels in coordination with the food service in the Ministry of Health."
