Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara and State Attorney Amit Eisman called for the Israel Police to open an investigation into Sara Netanyahu on Thursday, citing the findings of the Uvda, which allege witness harassment and obstruction of justice.

The Uvda investigation revealed that she ordered Hani Levis, a family advisor, to organize demonstrations outside the home of Hadas Klein, the main prosecution witness in Case 1000, and how she allegedly acted to promote Danny Levy in exchange for thwarting demonstrations against the Prime Minister.

She instructed Police Investigations Unit Lahav 433 to open an investigation without naming Sara Netanyahu or other people involved.

Police sources said that in the first stage, the findings of the Uvda investigation will be examined to determine against whom there is reasonable suspicion of committing an offense.

The investigators will probably request to receive the materials on which the investigation was based.

Summoning Sara Netanyahu

They are expected to summon to testify those under investigation, including the Prime Minister's wife, Sara Netanyahu, who is currently in Florida with her son Yair. It is not impossible that the collection of testimony will later turn into an investigation.

The Attorney General's Office is not willing to explain why they did not specifically name Sara Netanyahu.

This is an unusual step in which a statement is issued in which both the State Attorney and the Attorney General write that an investigation should be opened and do not write against whom the investigation is being opened.

The investigation revealed the correspondence between Hani and Levis, which revealed how the Prime Minister's Office operates and the conduct of the Prime Minister's wife.

Among other things, it was revealed how Sara ordered the removal of political opponents, harassing Hadas Klein, sending activists to harass Netanyahu's opponents, including an entire family, the Farkash family.

Following the revelation, Hadas Klein filed a complaint with the Attorney General against Mrs. Sara Netanyahu through Attorney Giora Aderet.

In the complaint, Klein raised suspicions arising from the investigation that she had committed acts that allegedly constituted criminal offenses, such as obstruction of justice and witness harassment.

She also noted in her complaint that the text messages revealed in the Uvda investigation raise the suspicion that the campaign of defamation and threats, which was allegedly conducted against her, was carried out by Sara Netanyahu and aides on her behalf.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir attacked the Attorney-General for "persecuting government ministers" and called for her to be fired.
