Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's "verbal onslaught on the Shin Bet" is "abhorrent" and a "scandal," former director of the security agency Yaakov Peri told KAN Reshet B on Saturday.
"The Shin Bet is responsible for Israeli democracy and the prime minister's protection, as well as his family's," Peri added. "It is conceivable that the prime minister and it would be on opposite sides of the barricade."
