Nothing will prevent Israel from achieving its war objectives, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement Tuesday evening.

His remarks came after Israel launched Operation Strength and Sword earlier, which saw the IDF conduct widespread strikes on the Gaza Strip.

"I received the security establishment's recommendation to resume fighting," he said.

'We will continue fighting'

Netanyahu made it clear that this was just the beginning. "We will continue fighting so that Gaza will no longer pose a threat to Israel.

"From now on, negotiations will only take place under fire," the prime minister stated, adding, "Our commitment is to release both the hostages and to return the bodies of those murdered."

"“Hamas is responsible for this war," Netanyahu said, adding, the terror group, "Hamas refused offer after offer to release our hostages."

"While Israel accepted the offer of President Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, Hamas flatly refused to do so," the prime minister further noted.

"We target Hamas terrorists. And when these terrorists embed themselves in civilian areas, when they use civilians as human shields, they are the ones who are responsible for all unintended casualties," Netanyahu stated.
