Security guard lightly wounded in ramming at Meitar Crossing in West Bank, suspect flees

A security guard was lightly wounded during a vehicle inspection at the Meitar Crossing near Hebron, the Defense Ministry said on Thursday.

The incident occurred when a vehicle sped up while the security guard had his upper body inside the vehicle.

The guard has been transferred for medical treatment. 

The vehicle arrived at the crossing from Beersheba and immediately returned in the same direction it came. It was suspected of transporting illegal residents.
