Italian President Sergio Mattarella addressed the Italian diplomatic corps on Sunday, emphasizing that Israel must permit aid to reach Gaza.
He stated that depriving an entire population, including children and the elderly, of food is inhumane, the Italian presidency announced on Sunday.
"The refusal to apply the norms of humanitarian law to the citizens of Gaza is unacceptable," Mattarella remarked.
