A mother of 11 was killed Sunday in Ashdod when her car rolled over her, crushing her against a wall in a parking lot, media outlets reported.

Magen David Adom said it had received a call on its 101 hotline about an unconscious woman who was trapped under a vehicle. She was later identified as Rebbetzen Galit Dabush, 44.

Israel Police said in a statement that a woman in her 40s was hit by a vehicle on Shevet Levi St. in Ashdod, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

When she got out of her car in a parking lot, it rolled over her because the parking brake was not properly engaged, Maariv reported.

“When we arrived at the scene, we saw the woman unconscious and trapped between the vehicle and the wall,” MDA said in a statement. “After rescue operations by the firefighters, we performed medical tests, [but] unfortunately, we had to pronounce her dead.”

The Ashdod Municipality said in a statement: “Social workers from the municipality... will continue to be by the family’s side and provide any assistance that may be required. We share in the family’s deep sorrow.”
