The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has seized control of 11 military positions belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization since the beginning of the conflict, the IDF said Saturday morning.

In recent days, IDF ground troops killed numerous terrorists and struck terror infrastructure and weapons through the Gaza Strip. The military said that ground troops had killed terrorists and struck terror infrastructure and weapons specifically belonging to Hamas' Zabra Tel Elhua Battalion.

These activities were a part of the joint intelligence effort of the IDF and the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) to significantly degrade the battalion, including the elimination of the battalion's commander, which was announced on November 3.

IDF troops conducted raids, which included extensive battles in the southern area of Sheikh Ijlin, in western Gaza City, where a significant number of Hamas operatives were located. During the raids, the troops killed numerous terrorists and struck terrorist infrastructure, including tunnel shafts, rocket launchers, weapon depots, observation posts, and terror tunnels.

Operations expand near Shatti refugee camp

Meanwhile, the army expanded its fighting in the Shatti refugee camp on the outskirts of Gaza City, which is also near Al Shifa Hospital, the IDF said. More than 10 terrorists were killed in those battles. Hundreds of Palestinian civilians escaped from the refugee camp.

Soldiers from the Nahal Brigade identified and destroyed an underground tunnel apparatus near a school. The coordinated attack by Brigade 215 identified a group of terrorists moving towards IDF soldiers from the Givati Brigade and, using aerial assets, neutralized the group, eliminating the threat.

Overnight Friday, naval forces attacked structures used by the Hamas terrorist organization against IDF forces in the northern Gaza Strip.

Furthermore, storage facilities of naval equipment belonging to Hamas were targeted.
