Critics have accused El Al of price gouging, as some customers have struggled to book tickets for prices anywhere near what they booked before the war.
“EL AL undertook to aid the Israeli public and the state and will continue to do so when needed,” the company said Saturday.
Six flights were operated on Friday, and another two were on Saturday - with a total of eight flights evacuating Israeli citizens.
Phone providers are also offering free roaming packages for Israelis.
The current law requires airlines to compensate passengers for flight cancellations and changes, but airlines say this law makes their activity in Israel financially unprofitable.
DemocraTech announced it is holding talks to operate an airline between Israel and the US between January and March, intending to open it up to the general public.
