The IDF operated in Lebanon after two were wounded by rockets, anti-tank missiles and mortars launched into Israeli territory on Monday morning.

The Israeli military said that artillery forces fired at the source of two rockets launched on Monday morning from Lebanon into northern Israel, causing sirens to sound across the Western Galilee.

IDF artillery also struck the source of anti-tank fire aimed at the northern border town of Netua.

The two rockets fell in open fields, the Israeli military noted. No casualties were reported.

Mortars launched from North, IDF takes out terror cell

Rocket sirens also sounded in Arab el-Aramsha after mortar shells were launched from Lebanese territory. They also landed in open fields, the IDF said.

IDF fighters also struck a terrorist cell identified along the Lebanese border overnight.

The IDF continued its offensive into the Gaza Strip on Monday, striking over 4,300 terrorist targets including some 300 tunnel shafts since it began its counter-invasion of the Strip.

As per the Israeli military, hundreds of Hamas anti-tank launchers were destroyed during operations, as well as close to 3,000 terror infrastructure which includes hundreds of boobytrapped weapon storage facilities, operational headquarters, and control-and-command centers across Gaza.

IDF in Gaza: Weapons found in children's bedroom, university

Israeli forces uncovered a weapons cache hidden in a child's bedroom in the home of a senior Palestinian Islamic Jihad official in Gaza, the IDF said on Monday morning.

The hidden arsenal was discovered in a raid carried out by reservists from the IDF's 551st Brigade, which lost four of its fighters during fighting in Gaza. The brigade also located a tunnel shaft in a civilian area of Beit Hanun, which contained various weaponry and intelligence gathered by Gazan terrorist groups.

Israel will allocate an additional NIS 200 million for the immediate reinforcement of the security infrastructure of hospitals across the country, the Finance and Health ministries announced Monday morning.

The decision after an agreement was reached between Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Health Minister Uriel Busso.

The ministries previously transferred NIS 75 million for this purpose earlier during Operation Swords of Iron.

70% of the hospital beds in Israel will be protected with new budget

The money will make possible the addition of more than 3,000 beds in protected spaces in a variety of hospital departments, including underground operating rooms at Soroka-University Medical Center in Beersheba and a protected intensive care unit in Ziv Medical Center in Safed. 

The Health Ministry maintained that since the war broke out, it has been investing “significant sums for the protection and emergency preparedness of the hospitals” that will enable them to function now and that it will continue allocating funds for this purpose in the years to come.

Israel's security cabinet has approved emergency measures allowing the blocking of Hezbollah-affiliated media outlet Al-Mayadeen and Qatari state-owned Al Jazeera, which the government deems as "harmful to the State of Israel."

Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi's measures were approved in the cabinet after receiving the green light from Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and defense establishment officials.

As per the emergency measures, the Communications Ministry can now order to close foreign news organization's offices in Israel, as well as confiscate equipment and block its access to broadcast infrastructures. 

Karhi moved swiftly to sign an emergency order against Al-Mayadeen.

Former New Jersey governor and candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, Chris Christie, traveled to Israel on Sunday to show support for Israel in the current war with Hamas. He is the first Republican presidential candidate to visit Israel since the October 7 attacks.

On his trip, he visited sites of the October 7 massacre, including Kibbutz Kfar Aza. There, he witnessed homes covered with blood and bullet holes, learning of families massacred en masse. In addition, he visited a hospital in Tel Aviv where the wounded were being treated, meeting with them and their families.

He told both US and Israeli media that he vowed to share the atrocities of what he saw. Christie insisted that more people needed to see the violence firsthand, specifically people hoping to become President of the United States and take over the Oval Office.

“If you don’t understand the stakes after seeing this, then you’re lost,” he told US media while continuing to assure those attacked that most Americans still support Israel.

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Monday left open the possibility of more strikes against Iran-linked groups if attacks against American forces in Iraq and Syria don't stop, hours after overnight US air strikes in Syria.

"These attacks must stop, and if they don't stop, then we won't hesitate to do what's necessary, again, to protect the troops," Austin told reporters at a news conference in Seoul.

Alon Pinkus, former Israeli consul-general to New York, told 103FM Radio on Monday morning that he can "envision a scenario in which the Americans initiate or get dragged into [fighting] as a response to an escalation by Hezbollah."
