Entry course into the cyber world for released female soldiers: this year, a practical course in information security and cyber in collaboration with Microsoft is open also to women who have been discharged from their homes, without restriction on the release date from military/national civilian service.
The training program is intended for released female soldiers, this year with an emphasis on women who have been discharged from their homes, for whom there are no restrictions on the release date from military/national civilian service. The course will be given at no cost. The program provides its graduates with fast-track access to the cyber world without the need for prior experience and without financial cost.
During the course, participants will become familiar with the cyber world, learn about networking fundamentals, communication systems, operating systems, information security concepts and processes, server fundamentals, virtualization and network services, monitoring systems, threat analysis, and types of attacks. They will also receive professional and practical tools at the highest level, while adapting the content studied to current job market requirements.
Graduates of the course will be able to integrate into the industry in companies working on unique systems and platforms for Microsoft (and other systems). Appleseed will accompany each participant personally from preparing resumes, through interview preparation workshops, using LinkedIn, until being hired in high-tech companies.
Sophia Lurber, 24 years old: "Already during my military service, I began to think about what I want to do and how to build my future. Today there are several courses that can provide training, but the cost of these courses is high. As a new immigrant and a lone soldier, I looked for an opportunity to enter the cybersecurity world, a field that interests me. I am happy that I got the opportunity to join the SOC course by Appleseed and Microsoft. I am looking forward and excited to start, to get to know and open new horizons".
Anat Tzur, CEO of Appleseed: "In the week of International Women's Day, we opened a dedicated course for women in the field of cybersecurity and information security (SOC) in collaboration with Microsoft and Sha'ar La'atid. The course, aimed at released female soldiers and women who have left their homes, is intended to allow them to leap into the evolving cyber world. The training is free and provides participants with tools and knowledge that will enable them to enter SOC analyst positions".
