The Israeli airline Arkia announced that it is leasing a Boeing 737-700 from the Ukrainian company SkyUp, as part of its efforts to expand its destination map and strengthen its fleet for the summer months.

The new aircraft, which will be added to the company's fleet, will start flying from the beginning of June until the end of October. This move is intended to increase the number of flights to meet the high demand during the summer season.

SkyUp operates a fleet of 13 aircraft and operates flights throughout Europe. The leased aircraft has 148 seats, will be manned by a SkyUp flight crew, and each flight will also include an Arkia flight attendant. As you may notice, the aircraft is designed in the colors of the Ukrainian football team Shakhtar Donetsk.

Oz Berlovich, CEO of Arkia, stated: "The additional aircraft joining our fleet will allow us to increase the number of flights and thus meet the great demand of passengers during the upcoming summer season. Additionally, this move will allow us to continue expanding the company's destination map beyond the 27 destinations Arkia already flies to today."
