A Palestinian was shot in clashes with the IDF at Joseph's Tomb on Tuesday night while soldiers escorted Jewish worshippers to the tomb, the IDF Spokesperson Unit announced on Wednesday morning.

Hundreds of Palestinians arrived at the tomb, throwing stones and Molotov cocktails at the forces and worshipers. The IDF responded with bullets, shooting one person.

The Palestinian health ministry identified him as 16-year-old Ghaith Rafiq Yamin and said he died of his wounds and Hamas condemned the shooting.

The IDF also reported that six Palestinians were arrested from Husan, Beit Kahil and Kalkilya throughout the night on suspicion of involvement in terrorism.

As well as the arrests, thousands of shekels suspected of being used to fund terror attacks were confiscated.

This is a developing story.
