An IDF drone carried out a targeted attack on a vehicle carrying Hamas's Lebanon supplies director, Ayman Ratma, in the Bekaa Valley of Lebanon on Saturday, the military reported.
Ratma had reportedly helped to direct weapons supplies for Hamas and Jamaa Islamiya in Lebanon.
The army said that he was killed due to his involvement in terrorism against Israel, as well as for planning future attacks against Israeli civilians.
The organization Jamaa Islamiya, a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood in Lebanon, has been involved in several attacks against Israel since the beginning of the war. Several of its people have been killed in recent months in IAF attacks.
In May, the IDF killed a senior commander of Jamaa Islamiya in Lebanon, Shurahbil Ali Alsayed. He was killed in the area of Majdal Anjar in southern Lebanon.
The Bekaa Valley is located in eastern Lebanon, on the border of Syria. Hezbollah concentrates numerous strategic assets in the valley, which is far from Israel's border.
