Lahav 433 investigating suspects for committing fraud over Bit money transfer app - report

Several residents of the West Bank are being investigated by Lahav 433 for committing cyber crimes that harmed Israeli citizens, N12 reported on Monday.

According to the report, the suspects created a fake webpage mimicking the Bit payment application.

By sending SMS messages with a link to this fraudulent site, the suspects allegedly tricked victims into entering a code sent to their phone numbers, allowing them to gain unauthorized access to multiple Bit accounts.
