"These innocent citizens, haven’t done anything wrong – and were murdered just because they are Jews," said Beersheba's mayor.

Doris Yahbas, Laura Yitzhak, Menachem Yehezkel and Rabbi Moshe Kravitsky, the four people murdered in Tuesday night’s terror attack in Beersheba, were buried Wednesday.

Yahbas’ funeral was held at the cemetery in Moshav Gilat and Yehezkel’s funeral at the new Beersheba cemetery.

“A cold-blooded murder by an enemy from home. I did not think I will eulogize innocent citizens, that haven’t done anything wrong – and were murdered just because they are Jews. The city is tainted in blood – the cry is from us all. The cries of a beloved land [for] the blood of our brothers and sisters,” Beersheba Mayor Reuven “Ruvik” Danilovich said at Yehezkel’s funeral, according to N12.

The terrorist, Muhammad Alab Ahmed abu al-Kian, ran over Kravitsky riding on a bicycle before driving to a gas station, exiting the vehicle and stabbing Laura Yitzhak.

He then returned to the car, drove to a nearby shopping center, exited the car and stabbed Yehezkel and Yahbas.

After returning to the vehicle, he drove away and crashed into another vehicle, exited it, stabbed and wounded another person before being shot and killed by two civilians.

Yahbas, a resident of Moshav Gilat, leaves behind her husband and three children. The family has asked that the media respect their privacy and not report from the funeral.

Kravitsky was a Chabad emissary in the Nahal Beka neighborhood of Beersheba and for 10 years had run a local soup kitchen.

Laura Yitzhak was the sister of a police officer who rushed to the scene of the attack.

Menahem Yehezkel aged 67, was a Beersheba resident, whose nephew bewailed “this terrible tragedy.”

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett commended the two citizens who shot the terrorist. “They simply saved lives, and deserve nothing less than a medal for resourcefulness. That is how every Israeli has to act when faced with a terrorist attack.”

In light of the attack, Bennett convened the Ministerial Committee to Fight Crime and Violence in Arab Society.

“Security forces are acting to reach anyone who had a direct or indirect connection to the terrorist,” Bennett said. “Anyone who helped, inspired, incited, cooperated – we will reach him.”
