IDF soldier, Border Police officer killed in combat in the Gaza Strip
According to the IDF's tally, their deaths raise the total of soldiers killed on or since October 7 of last year to 849.
Captain Ido Voloch, an officer in the Armored Corps, was killed in battle while fighting in the northern Gaza Strip, the IDF announced on Saturday.
Additionally, Sergeant Neta Yitzhak Kahane, an officer in the Border Police, was killed in battle while fighting in the Gaza Strip, the Israel Police announced.
Cpt. Ido Voloch, 21, from Jerusalem, served as an armored corps officer and platoon commander in the 46th Battalion of the 401st Brigade.

BBC Arabic journalist Samer Elzaenen has called for Jews to be burned “as Hitler did,” The Telegraph quoted him as saying in a Saturday report.
Elzaenen, 33, who has been reporting from Gaza, has been posting a series of statements on social media that condemns Jewish people, and has also called for violence against them, the Telegraph added, noting that his social media activity in the past 10 years has endorsed and celebrated more than 30 attacks on Israeli Jewish civilians.

Shlomo Efrati recounted how a bomb disposal team had to be called after he was delivered the body of a terrorist for identification by mistake.
The body of an invading terrorist killed on October 7 was found with condoms and three grenades in their pockets, a reservist tasked with collecting the fingerprints of those killed during the invasion told N12 on Thursday.
The reservist, Shlomo Efrati, explained that they quickly realized that the body of a terrorist had been sent to them when they were cataloguing the massacre’s victims to later identify them.
“As soon as we opened the bag, we realized that it was an Arab body: flip-flops and a long nail on his little finger, a ring with a black stone and a Quran in his pocket," Efrati told N12. A bomb disposal unit was called to the scene after they discovered three grenades in the terrorist’s pockets alongside a pack of condoms.

"When I was alone outside, no one saw me, and then when someone saw me - it didn't end well,” he recalled to N12. “People there, when they caught me, beat me up. It's not something simple, I experienced something there... When they caught me and brought me back, those people who beat me were ordinary Gazans, who took out all their frustration on me."
