IDF announces deployment of new 'drone boats'

The Israeli navy has begun operating unmanned marine vessels in Israel's waters for the first time in the past few weeks, the IDF announced on Tuesday.

The information gathered by these vessels is used to analyze threats and deploy forces.

These unmanned marine vessels represent a significant reinforcement of defense capabilities in Israel’s economic waters, the IDF stated.

The opening of the humanitarian aid distribution centers marks the beginning of the end of Hamas rule, an Israeli source told The Jerusalem Post on Tuesday as the IDF announced the opening of two large food distribution centers, which it has said should be able to feed up to 600,000 Palestinians over the course of a week.

The defense establishment has expressed concern over a sharp increase in the involvement of Israeli Arabs in the Islamic State and other Palestinian armed factions in the northern West Bank.

Over the past five months, the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) has exposed and arrested more than 15 terrorist cells and networks composed of Israeli Arabs. According to the Shin Bet, most of those detained pledged allegiance to the Islamic State.

Israel accused the UN's Tom Fletcher of "libel" for a second time, after the relief chief claimed there are "10,000 [aid] trucks on the [Gaza] border right now, cleared and ready to go," in a CNN interview on Monday.

"We've got 10,000 trucks on the border right now, cleared, ready to go, and we'll do everything to get them in and save lives," Fletcher told CNN's Christine Amanpour.

When Amanpour repeated the number back to him incredulously, Fletcher nodded and replied, "full of food."

The Israeli security establishment held discussions on the humanitarian situation in Gaza on Monday, where a senior IDF official stated that "there is no famine in Gaza, we're not even close to that," N12 reported on Tuesday.

The official reportedly stated, "There is distress [in Gaza], but no hunger."

N12 noted that military officials highlighted that the main shortages in Gaza are medical services and food, along with the issue of looting aid meant for civilians.

An IDF probe found that 12 foreign workers were rescued in the battle near Mefalsim, where the air force played a significant role; 16 people were killed.

The IDF on Tuesday issued its October 7 probe for Kibbutz Mefalsim and the nearby Black Arrow monument area, noting that 13 members of security forces were killed, while other reports have shown that three members of the kibbutz were killed elsewhere.

13 persons were also kidnapped from the area, including some security forces.

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) said it has begun distributing food aid in the Gaza Strip, with additional aid trucks scheduled to arrive on Tuesday.

In a statement, the foundation also condemned threats from Hamas targeting humanitarian organizations supporting aid distribution at GHF’s Safe Distribution Sites. It further accused the terror group of trying to prevent Palestinians from accessing humanitarian supplies at the designated locations.

Hamas has agreed to a Gaza ceasefire proposal it attributed to US special envoy Steve Witkoff for a Gaza ceasefire, a Palestinian official close to the group told Reuters on Monday.

The new proposal, which sees the release of 10 hostages and 70 days of truce, was reportedly received by Hamas through mediators.
