Her famous supermodel sisters have been vocally critical of Israel and its conduct. But that hasn’t stopped Alana Hadid – the sister of Bella and Gigi Hadid – from visiting Israel and getting cozy with a certain Tel Aviv-based hair stylist.
Hadid is a stylist and designer and half-sister to Bella and Gigi, and daughter of Mohamed Hadid, the Nazareth native turned California real estate millionaire.
This week she’s been hanging out on the streets of Tel Aviv. According to social media posts, Hadid had dinner Sunday night at Pronto in Tel Aviv before going dancing at the city’s Jimmy Who nightclub.

And just what brought Hadid to Israel? All signs point to a Tel Aviv-based hairdresser by the name of Elad Idan. On Sunday, Hadid posted a photo on social media of the pair inside a heart shape. She also shared a few snaps of them hanging out throughout the year, including in August at the Burning Man festival and in October in Vegas.
The half-Palestinian Hadid family has often been outspoken critics of Israel. Earlier this year, Gigi shared social media posts slamming the country for the high Gaza death toll as well as for the 1948 “Nakba” – how Palestinians refer to the founding of the State of Israel. After backlash she clarified that she is pro-coexistence, writing: “For me, this is not about religion or one against the other – it’s about the greed. #FreePalestine #freegaza #coexist.”
Last year, Bella also got political, sharing a nuanced post on Instagram decrying US President Donald Trump’s decision to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem.

It’s hard to know how to correctly voice the feelings I have on this topic. It’s so delicate, but yet I feel I tend to tread more lightly than I should as My family and fellow Palestinians have the most to lose. Mostly I am sad. I’m sad for myself as half Palestinian, I’m sad as my fathers daughter, my siblings sister, sad for my Palestinian family and I’m sad as an American, a human and someone who hopes for peace, to watch what has been happening to our land and people since 1948. Declaring Jerusalem as the capital of Isreal is not the right of one man, this is not politics, this is history and struggle and real life. Jerusalem is the center of all religions and was where the Palestinian people, Jewish, Christian and Muslim lived in peace until the occupation. Shame on President Trump, this is not a Realestate deal. This declaration is many steps back in the path to peace, and peace is the goal, isn’t it?! Palestine, where all religions lived in peace for hundreds of years is a real place, Palestinians are real people who deserve to be recognized as much as Israelis. What we want Is equality and fair treatment, how can you argue against that? This is a slap in the face to the Palestinian people. The treatment of Palestine and her people is unfair. I love an respect the Jewish people and I respect Israel. I want respect and recognition for Palestine, and equality and peace! I refuse to lose hope! I stand for peace! I stand with Palestine! ❤️ #JerusalemisthecapitalofPalestine #palestineforall #palestineforpeace #jerusalemforallreligions

“A very very sad day,” Bella wrote. “Watching the news and seeing the pain of the Palestinian people makes me cry for the many many generations of Palestine... Jerusalem is home of all religions. For this to happen, I feel, makes us take 5 steps back making it harder to live in a world of peace. The TREATMENT of the Palestinian people is unfair, one-sided and should not be tolerated. I stand with Palestine.”
Mohamed Hadid, their father, called Trump’s decision “The saddest day of my life as an American Palestinian,” though he regularly calls for coexistence between Muslims and Jews.

Alana Hadid herself also spoke out last year about Trump’s decision, writing that while the topic was “so delicate,” she was sad because, “This is not politics, this is history and struggle and real life. Jerusalem is the center of all religions and was where the Palestinian people, Jewish, Christian and Muslim lived in peace until the occupation... Palestinians are real people who deserve to be recognized as much as Israelis... The treatment of Palestine and her people is unfair. I love an respect the Jewish people and I respect Israel.
